Default Just put the Redline MT-90 trans fluid in [thoughts]

I had an aftermarket clutch installed about 9 months ago, the installer used generic tranny fluid after doing the install. I finally got around to going to the Audi Exchange to get the flush done. Here are the main differences I noticed:

- it's much "easier" to shift into gears, it feels as though theres MUCH more lubrication in the gears.
- The fluid actually feels smoother and not as thick maybe, and it was 43 C today.
- The fluid actually feels like it's enabling me to get into gear "quicker", like it slips in to the gear real quick now, as opposed to me using a little more force. (and I have a short shift kit so this fluid really helps with this)

I have to say I am happy with the results after 1 hour of driving with Redline MT-90, hope this fluid works great in the winter (as I hear it does)

** only bad thing is the flush cost me $109 ;( and I brought my own fluid **

Default Cool, thanks for the followup. I've been wanting to give my tranny an enima too.

I'm glad you like the fluid. Was it the fluid that cost you so much or did the place that did the flush charge you a bunch?

Default $109 was JUST for them to flush it and add my fluid..

I had bought the Redline off Summit racing online, really good prices there, all together it cost me about $138 to do this, the fluid was like $7 a quart on summit and I bought 4 quarts.

Default Thanks for the posts.

Thinking of changing the trans oil on our MY 00 2.8Q. The dealer wanted 14 or 16 dollars a quart for the factory stuff. Was thinking of using the redline oil.
