Default It'll be discussed forever...I ran one (forge) for awhile and had no CEL's...

I really don't think that it'll harm your car...

an audi tech has even said he doesn't think they are bad for your cars...in theory, I guess they'll make them run rich for a split second...

everyone should know how sensitive the engine CEL is in out cars, and since a true BOV does not cause a CEL, I find it hard to believe they are that bad...

but, I did switch to the forge BPV, so take my advise with a grain of salt...

Default Just because something doesn't throw a CEL doesn't mean it's not bad.

First and foremost: THERE ARE NO PERFORMANCE GAINS YOU WILL GET RUNNING A BOV (without at least changing out a bunch of other stuff too). Most likely it will only hurt performance. Yeah, you get the blow-off noise. Whoop-de-doo ricers. Add some stickers while you're at it.

BOVs are terrible, they hurt turbo spool up. DV is the way to go.

Default Get pissed...

I'm not trying to defend them or anything, I'm just letting true information be heard...

If you want to call me a ricer, go ahead...but I think if you knew me you would realize that I'm far from that...

and how do you know that there are no preformance gains...why don't you show some info other than "BOVs are for ricers" to support your answer...

maybe the BOV builds boost quicker, maybe it'll make for smoother transitions of boost between shifts...maybe you should stop making up answers just because the rest of the board thinks so...
