Long term reliability of 1.8TQ anything to worry about?

Long term reliability of 1.8TQ anything to worry about?
If I decide to mod my 2000 1.8TQM beyond the APR chipped ECU I currently have, I would probably get an exhaust, suspension, and 17" wheels. If I was feelin impulsive, I might get an upgraded turbo kit (stage 3 is out of question for now though).
Now, how long can I expect the car to run strongly without many problems (besides normal maintenance?) I don't push the car before it has warmed up, and I drive lightly when I'm a few miles away from my destination. I also live in Vermont, incase that would matter.
Are we talking 60k? 80k? 100k? 150k? I most likely wouldn't keep the car past 60k, due to me only driving 6-7k miles a year... I currently have 24,000 miles...

that's one way to save a little cash .. but.
say your belt snaps @ 65k. internal engine damage, downtime, the hassle of dealing with the warranty company. is it really worth it?
i believe audi specs the 01.5/01(???) timing belt change @ 100k miles or something. if i had one .. there's no way i'd wait that long.
