Default Looking for a good 16" tire to replace my goodyears

Right now I want to keep the 16" rims on my 98' A4 2.8Q but I do want to get something new... the origial Goodyears have lasted 60k miles and that is pretty good.

I live in Phoenix now so snow is not a problem but I do want to have good control in the water for the 10-20 days a year that it rains.

I do drive like a "crazy taxi" so I want something that is sporty but with not to much roadnoise... I think that the good years were always pretty loud.

I want a tire that will last atleast 20k miles.. not just a summer tire. and I don't want to spend more then 120$

I have 205's on there right now... but I wanted to know if a wider tire would fit without rubbing in the wheel well.

I would like any suggestions, and thanks for your help.. I am new to the Audi Forum

Dunlop 5000's or Kumho Ecsta 712's are a good choice!

The stock Dunlop SP 8000s are a good choice.

I live in phoenix. All season is not a problem. What about a wider size.. like a 215 or 225 instead of the 205's I have now?

I just installed the Kumho's 712 225/45 on my car, but those are for 17" wheels. The Kumhos are considered Ultra High Performance, but they have excellent wet weather traction.

Default I believe the biggest tire you can put on your OEM 16's

w/o screwing up your odometer is 225/50/16's
