Default The problem with a 4 point is that when tightening the should harnesses you will pull UP the lapbelt

the fifth point keeps the lapbelt in place, and prevents submarining.

Default Ahh yes...I see what you mean now.

Only thing I can think of is to re-orient the brackets so they point towards you...this will require that you pull the rear seat out to use the harness though. Honestly this is the safest way to mount those brackets...but hardly anyone does cause they won't, "dress" properly out from behind the seat...you end up having to pop the rear seat bottom out so that they can some straight up to meet your shoulders. Anyhow that's probably good for 4" of extra length if you do that.

Regards,

James R.

Default Tighten the lap belt first!

You gotta crank on that lap belt -- get it REALLY tight -- before you tighten the shoulder belts. The shoulder belts will pull the lap belt up a little bit, but if you get it really tight, it will still fit just fine.

Another tip -- don't close the door until after you tighten the lap belt. The extra room will make it easier to get that left lap belt tight.
