Default Master cylinder strainer removal?

I want to remove the brake fluid from my master cylinder prior to bleeding my brakes on my 1999 A4 1.8T but I cannot figure out how to remove the strainer. Would someone please be so kind to share with me the method for removing this stainer before I have a conniption? Thank you.

It comes out with some needle-nose. Not worth it. No reason not to bleed normally.

That's the opposite way to do it IMO. I use a Motive Powerbleeder and send it the other direction.
