Default Try 3-M wax products (More)

I switch from Meguirar's wax, over to 3M, and have been extremely impressed. The was job by 3M lasts almost 3 months long. And my car sits on the Driveway, exposed to the elements 24/7.

Default Some observations from experience with a black car...

I have not been impressed with 3M imperial glaze for it seems to take out the black in black, and leave the color looking a little hazy. With red, the last thing you want is to have the car turning pink in time. (hehehehehe)

I switched to Mothers step one and two and the wax I am now using is Blitz. Blitz is good, but as I discovered, you need to take it off, put the car in the sun for 30 minutes and then wipe off the oils that you see. Perhaps I am **** or it might be the fact that the car is black and others were smart and did not buy black. Point is, I would not skip the time in the sun, and then wiping it down one last time.

Blitz is also much easier to use. I could swear the can says allow the wax to dry, and I have, and taking it off with an orbital buffer is a snap. Zymol is a pain in the ***. You get a great shine and deep color, but lasts about 2 washes.

Default I use Eagle-One products....

Let's keep in mind that regardless of what you use, the technique and frequency of use plays a HUGE roll in how easy it is to use and how long the wax job will last. For a car that has paint in very good condition. A pure Carnuba wax is great after a good polishing. For a car that's paint hasn't been taken care of as well, it may need a few applications of TLC before it will hold a wax job.

I’ve detailed cars from ALL ranges and I have restored some pretty bad, oxidized paint to a wet luster. It is hard work but the products and techiques are 90% of the battle.

If Eagle-One wasn’t around I would proably use Zymol.

Default I've got a little used one....

I've tried them all, I think, including the ones you've mentioned.

My favorite remains Finish First, here's the web site: www.rapidaxcess.com/Venture900/Finish_First.htm
