Will i have any strange results if i loop one side but not the other? (don't see why i would but i'd like reassurance)

I got the pads from AWE but i do not feel like going through the trouble of getting a whole new set of pads when the price difference between the sensor/non-sensor pads was only $1..

if your old pad still has the sensor on it... Rip the old sensor out and reuse it. Just wrap it up, and zip tie it aside. Otherwise, just splice the wires together, zip tie and tuck it aside.

If you do/check your brakes once a year... it would be easier to bypass it once and for all.
