Default Missing Snub Mount Bracket?

It appears that my car is missing a bracket for the engine snub mount (part #16 in the diagram below). I assume that the 3 bolts in the picture should be holding that bracket? Can someone with a 99 V6 confirm whether I should have this bracket? Also, unbelievably I couldn't find any diagrams in my Bentley manual for engine mounts. Luckily, I found the diagram below in another Audiworld post. Does anyone know what part #16 is called?

Default I saw a 96 like that

thats what happens when your car has been in an accident and the body shop cant figure out how to put it back together correctly.

You're exactly right. The car was in a wreck about a year ago. Makes me wonder what other things they didn't fix correctly.

Default they rarely fix em correctly....

I get very nervous when I see a body shop taking apart large percentages of an audi.... things are not as simple as they seem to re-assemble as they came from the factory. Body shops are NOT audi certified to be working on an audi. Either you are an entheusiast that is learning hands on and making a few mistakes that you fix... or you have it worked on by certified technician. Thats about all I can suggest in terms of labor... its just too easy to fvck up something otherwise.

I am frequently impressed by how well the techs at my dealership put massive jobs back together. I guess experience helps, but we've got an A8 that is getting a new engine and when done it will likely be indistinguishable from the way it came from the factory, of course an A8 certified tech is working on it and if it doesnt go back right its his *** on the line.

I see cars in all the time for bodyshop hack job crap... I do not trust bodyshops to re-assemble audis period, maybe ROJO is an exception to that.
