Default if all the lug nuts are off you might just need to kick the wheel pretty hard to get it off..

just make sure that when you put the new rims on you use some anti-siez...

Default The wheels are being held on by rust.

Kick them a few times, and maybe they'll come loose (don't knock the car off the jackstands). Alternatively, put all the bolts back in finger tight, take the car down the block and slam on a brakes a few times. That should break up the rust...then jack the car back up and attempt to remove the wheel.

That "bolt" you're referring to is the axle bolt. You don't need to touch that.

Default The wheel was probably just frozen on the hub.

Take a rubber mallet and hit the inner sidewall of the tire, then turn the wheel and hit it again, work your way around the wheel until it pops off.

Default Re: Block and hammer?

yea that'd do.. or just use ur foot or smthn. Another "trick" that must be done very carefully, is the loosely put the lug nuts back on and go for a spin around the block. USE EXTREME caution when doing this... use only as a last resort!!! I don't want to c u dead or smthn

USE EXTREME CAUTION

Default Please don't remove that nut.

It doesn't have anything to do with wheel removal.

Default Uh, maybe not around the block...

I've used a 2x4 under the outside of the tire to make it uneven while the lug nuts are loose enough to barely give the wheel some play. Just let the car down with the jack slowly until you hear the wheel break loose.
