monitoring injector pulsewidth
I'm wanting to set up a monitor to see the injector pulsewidth in real time. I think I can do that by attaching an dwell meter to one of the injector wires. Does anyone know if this will work? I have both a 2.8 and a 1.8t. I could do it on either car.

I don't know about a dwell meter (which reads out in crankshaft degrees) but you could with an oscilloscope. Why not just use VAG-COM to see the pulse widths?

The dwell meters that I'm aware of show the ratio of time for contact open vs. contact closed, expressed in degrees, where you have to select the number of cylinders for the reading to be correct. Using a dwell meter would be a hard way to measure pulse width IMHO. What are you intending to do with the pulse-width measurements?
