I'm test driving a 2000 Accord V6 coupe and I can assure you that, even though the platform is shared, the CL Type S blows the Accord away. There's nearly no comparison. Granted, I'd rather have my 2.8 Avant, but I wouldn't kick the S outta bed for eating crackers.

FWIW, the Type S does need an optional six-speed manual.

except for the body, drivetrain, and suspension.....oh yeah, the interior and just about everything else.......the only thing that is the same is the engine....with the CL, that's about the only thing that's different.......except that the accord coupe actually looks better.......don't get me wrong, the CL is a good car, but put pictures of the CL,Solara and Accord coupe side by side and tellme where the 10 grand comes from......at least 10 grand turns an A4 into an S4......I don't see the 10 grand in the CL....my question is 'in 5 years this is what they came up with as their coupe solution after they retired the legend coupe????' the legend coupe was a better car (albeit more expensive)...this thing looks more like the 1st generation legend coupe....ok....ok....so it has 260hp but just the looks alone put you in a class with 2 other makes.......<p>'01 1.8T Avant - India Red
