MPG question
I have a quick question for you 1.8T owners. What do you get, as an estimate, for mileage. I just moved from a '95 90 2.8L to a '99 1.8T. I was thinking that I'd get a bit of a mileage boost, but am currently getting about the same as before (about 20-22, mixed hwy/cty mileage).
I'm wondering if it might be that I now have a quattro, which adds some weight. I'm also getting re-used to a manual, so I'm sure my shifts aren't as well timed as they will be in the future.
Anyway...I'd like some supporting info if you'd be willing to share.
Looks like I'm coming in on the low end. Like I said, though, I'm reacquainting myself with driving a manual. That, and it's winter here in MN, which means warm-up time and lots of snow to drive in.
Thanks for the info!
