Default My Audi POS.......

I just got my car and love it, but one month later.....
I am having lots of electrical problems, first my sunroof went out, just stopped working,
then my windshield wipers sprayer motor went out.

then last night I go to turn my headlights on and both just shut off not a second after being turned on, both bulbs are blown.(fuses aren't)

I had the mechanic fix the windshield wiper sprayer motor thing.

but now that all these things are happening I am thinking theres an electrical problem

does anybody have any info on what it could be?
have you had the same problems?
anything appreciated
thanks

According to Consumer Reports, the early A4's were notorious for electrical problems

Default My car has lots of electrical problems too... and that headlight problem...

I went through 5 sets of headlight bulbs in less than a year, and one night (christmas eve actually) I turned my lights on and within a few seconds, both of the blew out. And now... I'm have major problems... I have no clue what it could be.. my car has been in countless times because of these problems. I noticed your car is a 96, so I'm not sure if any of these problems would be related in our situation. I think a lot of people with later model A4s have problems with the headlights going out. I know quite a few others who have had the same problem, but all with 2000s.

Maybe some weird overvoltage problem, caused by a bad regulator, or alternator?

Default it works fine..but I think I'm just going to cut through the headlight housing anway.

I don't tinker with my car.. it's just overly sensitive.
