I was told it was a subaru of some sort......
I'm amazed he did that.
All I can figure is he came in there way too hot, got nervous, and lifted. That corner provides stupendous traction when you hit the incline. If he had stayed in it, I'm sure he'd have been fine.
With as little runoff as that corner has if you run wide, I tend to come in there a tad slower than I really could, but as soon as I turn in I'm back to WOT. I've tried it a few ways, and scrubbing a few more MPH on entry has not lost me any significant time, and has kept the car much more stable. In fact, my RPM at the crest of the hill are often 2-300 rpm higher with a slow-in, on-the-throttle-early technique, as opposed to blasting in faster and hoping the incline gives me grip before I run out of track....
