It's supposed to be 61 degrees here on Monday... I guess it would be wierd if I went to the dealership and asked if I could wash my car...

Oh, how it hurts me so!

Default Not even close! Northern VA. It's been ridiculously cold here, like everywhere else...

But I checked the forcast and they said 61 degrees for Monday! I can't believe it either!

Even though my car is without Coil Pack, I really wanna wash the layers upon layers of salt off of it.

It's been dirty for SO long.

Default Well, that's a guess...

I talked to the service rep today, and he said they're expecting a shipment next week sometime...

Realistically, I'm expecting the shipment to come in sometime late next week...

Then they have to start all of the other items I want checked out/repaired... Then they will do the 20k service.

Or the other way around. Either way, it might be a while.

I'm serious about washing the car though.

Default This might sound a little wierd...

But given the memorandum that went out to all dealerships concerning the CP replacement, especially the part about only replacing ALL of the CPs if a second one fails... I'm kind of hoping that when they do finally get around to putting a new CP in my car, they start it up and another one blows! lol... They'd be forced to replac all four, although since I wasn't there to witness it, they might not... hmm...

It very well could happen though. My car will have been sitting in the cold for over a week w/o being started... if there's any truth to the cold stressing the CP theory.

Default Ed P mentioned that it is related to frequent heat-cycling...

another words, frequent starts in cold weather, then running at normal (high) engines temps, and then cold weather starts again, and so on...

By the way, I did read of someone's case where the second CP failed on their way back from the dealer after they replaced the first CP.

Default I had a feeling that was the case...

My service rep is a pretty cool guy, I still think I might be able to get 4 new CPs out of him.
