My front bumber is chipped up pretty good...
Yesterday was waxing (IMG and Blitz wax... wow, looks great!), and I noticed a bunch of chips on my front bumper. Since this is the first time I cleaned and waxed since winter, I just noticed them.
I'm guessing this is from the damn salt trucks on the AC Expressway. I got caught behind them once or twice during the winter. It was either go 30mph, or blow past them. I did the later and remember hearing all the salt hitting the car on passenger side, right where the chips are. I've done this in other cars, but never had the chips like that. Wish the paint was a little stronger up front

turn it in to your insurance......
tell them you get peppered by a salt truck. They are real good about filing the claim with no problem. My bumper was actually a lighter shade of green because of all my chips. 100 dollar special deducatable from my wallet for the job and the bill was for $2300. (they ended up getting a brand new bumper because it was so brittle when they took it off). I got my mirrors, drivers side dooor, and roof painted as well as the bumper and hood.

I had the same problem. Fixed with thouch up paint & Langka
You order the little bottle of touch up paint and order some langka. It looks as if the chip would have never happened.
Just for reference I have a '99 black volcano.
good luck!
