my neighbor's car was stolen last night....read on and SPEAK UP.
My neighbor just bought a new Protege three months ago; granted he riced it up well before his license plate came in, but that's beside the point. His car was parked three spaces away from mine and this morning there was nothing but some broken glass on the ground. I dunno if they were after the $600 wheels and tires and/or the aluminum touring wing, but they took the whole damn car. Six months ago someone broke into his riced out Paseo and stole all of his stereo stuff. Needless to say I'm worried they might come back for my car. I just went outside and yanked my ECU.
I already know APR can easily write an EMCS option that would completely disable the car without the owner entering a code or something of the sort. How many of you with EMCS would be willing to pay a few bucks for this option? Say, $30-$50? No idea what they'd charge, I'm just throwing numbers out. I know those S4 owners in the NJ area would probably like the idea. If you have the programmer you can just download it into the ECU yourself. If you'd like to see this option offered, please reply!

but if they flat bed your car then i wouldn't matter right? Some of the thieves
are "smart" like that...then they just take it and rape the car of its contents =(
But that's a good idea it will deter the common joyrider and small time crooks.

they wouldn't be able to get a flatbed into my complex...
but yes they could do that in other areas. I'm willing to bet the % of cars stolen via flatbed is way less than 1%.
