Just put a deposit on a MY2000 A41.8TQMS. Had a question about the radio options. Dealer didn't have a good answer.

The basic question is:
will standard radio have single disc CD player on panel?

Vehicle Order Guide has:
7A2 CD Changer
PBS Bose Radio

Dealer seemed to think Bose option had the Single disc player and standard did not. I've read different here, but I'm wondering if anyone can confirm this either way.

Searched Archive but links failed.

I just completed my order last week. David L. at Rector Audi in Burlingame, CA told me that the standard radio comes with a single CD. The Bose option for MY2000 will be separated into two options. The first is the Bose option which consists of the amplifier and speaker system. The cost is approximately half the cost of the 1999 Bose option. The second option is the CD changer which is approximately the other half of the cost. Hope this make sense. In other words you can buy the Bose system with or without the changer.
