Default When I was in high school I used a Penn #5 I believe.

(tennis ball)
It was for mom mostly...tethered it from the ceiling at just the right spot. Go past the ball, and you'll be *in* the fireplace very soon.

Default He's asking about something to prevent the DOOR from hitting the wall as it's opened.

I use a short length of black rubber garden hose than I've tacked to the wall at just the right height. It does the job perfectly. Frankly, it would never occur to me to go buy a product that was designed to act as a door edge guard in a garage, since there are many things around the house that will work. Just use your imagination. The US mail-order industry tries to convince us that for every little "need" there's a product that must be purchased, but like the suspended tennis ball that RKA refers to (I use one of those too, for my wife), a lot of the time you can do it yourself with stuff that's just lying around. Save your cash for stuff you <i>really</i> need!

Default Why dont you park the car in backwards so you dont have to get out on the wall side,

that way you can park closer to the wall.
