Need car stereo recommendations...
I have a non-bose 98.5 and its killing me not to have a cd player in the dash. What do you guys recommend that looks good with the AUDI interior? Any pics would be appreciated, thanks.

Check out Blaupunkt models, they have high quality stuff...
they make BMW's stereos for their cars..I installed one on my friends 318i and it looked great, and it also had the red interior lights.
try crutchfield for good prices and they also give you adapter harnesses to make whatever stereo you get a snap to install.

http://www.crutchfield.com</a

Re: Need car stereo recommendations...
As said in another thread, pre Sony Xplod stuff on the Sony ES line (and I believe regular line) all is selectable green or amber and it's no frills displays.
Personally I am so sick of all these dancy displays with screen savers and billions of colors. Most of them SUCK when direct sunlight hits them and are just too complicated.

I agree, most look like a star trek console...
I had a Nakamichi CD-40z in my old BMW and loved it, I'm thinking about getting that again. I just thought if I could find something that matched the red better I'd look into it.

Can't you just add the Panasonic 6-CD changer? I would think that would be better than messing with the stock head unit and changing the stock look. . .

here's my thoughts
I don't really care about looks, however, if you want good sound quality get an Ecplise deck.
Otherwise here is a good link for top notch equipment

http://www.theautophile.com</a
