Need help with brake issue
About a month ago I replaced the rear rotors, pads and caliper carriers on my 99.5 Avant with the help of the tech section writeup. Everything's been fine, except for a couple of days ago an odd noise started coming from the right rear wheel. It usually happened when braking but also sometimes happened when just traveling slowly with no brake.
I took a quick peek, and the outside pad on that side is already worn all the way down; on the left side it looks like it should look. I haven't had a chance to get the car in the air and get the wheel off to really poke around but it appears something went wrong with my installation.
One other thing of note -- since doing the brake job the parking brake has had to be pulled a lot higher than normal to be effective.
Before I throw new pads on, any ideas what I've done wrong?
