Need Help! Need to remove drivers seat 97 A4, yes I searched!
I tried removing the drivers seat from my 97 A4 1.8T today, and I couldn't find any screws, bolts clips etc holding it in. How do you remove this thing? I dont have power seats, it's the spring adjustable seat. My problem is the spring arm broke, so the seat just bounces up and down. I know I can fix it if I can get the seat out. Any help much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

there are two screws holding them down on the back i.e if u are sitting at the back there are on each side . also underneatth from the front is a spring and plastic kind of thingin. be careful with the plastic thingin so that it dosen't break.sorry for the poor explanation

Remove the 2 covers at the end of the floor rails.
Then pull the pin on the front adjustment handle in front and slide the seat all the way back. Once you get it all the way back just pull the back of the seat upward. Make sure to remove the head rest before you try to remove the seat out the front door.
