Need some help

I recently got a nice 1998 1.8T Automatic A4 with 40,000 miles, I love the car but i am interested in possibly boosting the power, especially in the low gears. What modifications would help? Also are there any negative effects? I live in southeastern michigan, any shops that could help? The car is an everyday car, i generally dont use the tiptronic. Any help would be appreciated.

Chips can increase performance dramatically for not alot of money.

Check out APR and GIAC.

chip, exhaust, K04 turbo upgrade

thats about all you can do with a tip, unless you want to spend $$$$$$ on a Level Ten tranny upgrade and get the T28 kit.

i think ko4 is a bit pushing it too hard on tip tranny.

im really happy with my chip and exhaust.

With a Tip Chip the KO4 should be no sweat on the tranny

I'm probably going to put one in mine in the near future.
