Is it worth spending 200.00 bucks on the neuspeed short shifter? My main concern is the install. Also does it void the W word?

I'm glad I spent the money on it. My car, a 99, had this stupid push-down-for-reverse which the Neuspeed shifter got rid of. And the lower height and heavier feel are great.

Warranty, what's a warranty?

it gives shorter, more positive-feeling throws, plus the shifter itself is shorter, so you're not rowing the long wand. and reverse is so easy.

much sturdier than stock, much more confident shifts. The way it should be from the factory!!
kind of like a "Warranty in it's self!"

I have a 98 with the push down reverse, the Neuspeed gets rid of that ??

If you have a later car, they just send you a new shifter shaft. If you have an earlier car, like you and me, they send you a complete '00 unit with the new shaft already installed.

And don't worry, even without the push down deal, the tranny doesn't allow 5th to reverse. You have to go back to center to get reverse.
