new 2001 A4 1.8T owner
I've been lurking around for a month now, and am ready to say hello. Hello. I bought a used 2001 A4 1.8T about 2 months ago, and love it. I never realized how much fun driving can be. My previous car was a beater from the late 80's, and had around 110 hp.
As for my plans, I would like to take the car to the track sometime. I've missed the track season here in Seattle, so that just gives me 6 or so months to perfect my driving. I'm thinking of waiting until the warranty expires before doing any major mods. Coincidently I drive by Achtuning everyday to work, so I am thinking eventually they will be earning quite a bit of my money. I haven't stopped by their shop yet, but probably should to just see what they have to offer.
Are there any cheap, must have, mods that I can easily make? I plan on tinting the windows, which isn't really too cheap. Maybe the OEM exhaust tips?

Yeah, silver wasn't my first choice, but I'm still happy with my decision. Black, then blue, then silver were my color preferences. It does hide the dirt nicely, so I can go an extra week or two between washes.

Black is great, but ! your heart sinks everytime you get a stone chip, ...
whereas you dont even notice it on the Silver.
Silver's #2 for looks, and #1 for looks/practicality.
