Default New A4 owner with couple of questions.......

I just got an 2001 1.8TQMS Black with Onyx just 7 weeks ago and I have 650 miles on it my first question I want to lower the car about an inch or inch in half....can I just replace the springs and keep the sport shocks and wich springs should I get I already have a set of 18" wheels ready to be installed but I think the car would look a little to high.

My second question is how long is the break in period b4 I can start pushing the car a little more I have only rev the engine up to 3500 and I have not been faster then 65MPH.

Thank you

Default i can only answer the second question...

you can push the car "little by little" to break in the car by driving at higher speeds or allowing the rpm's to rise, thus allowing the pistons, valves, rings, etc... to be broken in evenly. also, make sure that you cool the car down before shutting off the engine after a hard run. warming up is just as important as cooling down, which allows the oil to circulate before taking off.
