just bought a '97 red A4 1.8T quattro. Actually, I just ordered some wheels/ tires to replace the factory lame 195/65 r15 Eagle HP's (and they have to be the loudest ones I've ever heard). The car is not the sport pkg, so I thought I'd go with the Mile Miglia Evo's 16" with Bridgestone's 950 205/55 r16. 17" wouldn't look as good w/o the sport pkg, plus I need a bit of meat for the sidewalls where I live.

GAWD I love the car!! But, out of curiosity, why is it the damn thing rev's so high on the freeway? It only takes 75mph to get into the mid- 3000's! How can people say these things fly? My Ranger will do the same speed at lower rpm's.
Maybe these things are comfortable at those rpm's...i dunno.

I just got a TDI New Beetle as a loaner and the thing revs WAY lower than my 1.8T on the highway... does that make it faster?

reading all the stuff and seein' all the pics really makes my A4 feel humble! oh well, at least it's an Audi. that silver one would look sweet in MY driveway.
