I'm still looking for my A4 1.8TQ but the more I search, the more I realize I wont be able to find one of decent mileage and ~18K
Soooo....
What do you guys think about the Jetta Wolfburg Ed.? I wish it had 4motion, and it's no audi.
I love the luxurious feeling in the Audi, never sat in a Jetta though. What do you all think?

If you don't have the money, buy newer....
Just my 2 cents, but consider that you may be happier with a maintenance (cost) free new(er) vehicle. If 18k is your cap, you may be able to get a '97ish A4. But you will be out of warranty. Extended warranties are limited in what they cover / how much. You may get lucky and get a trouble free one, but maybe not - that's the risk you take.
No shame in getting a Jetta and setting your sights on an A4 a little further down the line. No, it will not be the same as an A4, but you can still hang out on the AW boards!
Good Luck!

I agree
If $18k is your limit, chances are you don't have a lot of ready cash to spend on additional repairs that an A4 at that price range might need. And Audis can be pricey to fix.
Actually, I really like the Jetta Wolfsburg. A nice package, all the necessary options, none of the useless ones. The 1.8T will still accept chipping and exhausts when cash is available, handling is very good. No, it's not an Audi, but it is a great car for the cash.
Bottom line, don't make yourself car poor. No fun having a great car but not being able to do other stuff too.

Jetta is pretty badass, but smaller. Real quick though.
Two of my friend just leased a white and a black wolfsburg. They absolutely love them. I also like them. There are many similarities to my A4. They aren't quite up to par with the A4, but neither is the price new. I did buy my 98 A4 for less than $18k with less than 50k mi on it, so it is possible, you just have to look.
