News from the drag races at Carlsbad yesterday.
Just found out that we are not at sea level yesterday. In the winter time we run at 600 ft and yesterday it was at over 2400 ft. This was measured right at the track by one of the racers in the jackpot race. Well the best I could pull out was a 14.686 at 94.67 mph with a 60 ft time of only 2.137. The problem is, are we supposed to have tq steer in a quattro car. This felt really weird because I am used to it in my fwd eclipse but never felt it do this in my Audi. The other problem I am having might have to do with the tires I am running or my shocks. I get a ton of wheel hop now off the line and can chirp all 4 tires at only 3500 rpms. The tq steer was on a 4k launch. Well we had some fun yesterday, but I cant wait till next week when we might have a non dbw stage 3 car, Juan and Frank should be running too. Juan has a new chip to test out at the track and also has a new clutch. Frank will be doing base testing before we put on his new exhaust. Hope to see more of you at the drags next week. BTW we have a tent and a cooler full of drinks so you dont have to worry about drinks.

No you are not. That is the beauty of quattro combined with the multi-link suspension. Audi wanted to dial that out as much as possible as there is no benefit in having it.

Well that might be for stock hp and tq. I run way more tq then most street chips. I know it was tq
steer because the car moved forward and hard to the right off the line. I think I might try running my 17's with the 225/45 next week. But I did test them out near my house a few days ago and was able to spin both front tires from a stop at only 3500 rpms.

You are not running stock clutch, are you?
I can chirp my tires on my 12Valve, but my tires are crap. If I raise RPM to anything above 4K at launch, my clutch will slip (more like burn). I really wish I could raise it to like 5K and drop it
With the power you seem to be running, you must have a heck of a clutch to get the wheels to spin, so I was wondering what clutch you have?
