I've never seen an aluminum hood on a B5

Since it's rusting along the base of the hatch glass for about a foot on the passenger side. It's getting to the point where it's going to break through the paint soon, meaning it looks like a repair job is in my future. I doubt it will be cheap since they'll probably have to remove the glass to do the repair. I do know that the front fenders and hood on my '00 A6 4.2 are aluminium though.
