Noob looking for upgrade help, give me your .02
Ok here is the deal, the wife is getting the D boob upgrade, but part of the deal is I get to upgrade my car. I say its a win/win for me!!!
2001 1.8T Sport version with the following:
APR Chip
APR Exhaust
K&N drop in filter
Strat BOV
I want to do some of the following but don't know where to start, what or where to buy. Any help and ideas are appreciated. Thanks.
1. boos gauge (in vent or a pillar ???)
2. short shifter
3. brake upgrades (rotors, pads, SS brake lines???)
4. side skirts
5. suspension (coilovers or ???)
6. new front bumper for FMIC later
7. FMIC
8. turbo package upgrade
9. wheels (currently have 17" RS4 style)
10. what else???
Please let me know what you have, what has worked, not worked, is crap, etc. Can't wait to take the new ***** for a test run, Thanks.

any of those would improve the car.
What are you trying to accomplish? And what is your budget? If you have the sport suspension you might not get as big a kick out of coilovers, although I still strongly recommend them. A big turbo kit would put a much bigger smile on your face if you have a few grand to spend.

I'd do suspension and a boost gauge...
as far as suspension you may want to go with Vogtland Sport springs w/ Koni adjustable shocks. The boost gauge can be anything...a VDO or AutoMeter is fine...no real reason to go expensive with the gauge.
