Default NOS

Im 19 years old and a university student (im brokeass) and share a 2.8tip between my sister and I. Im looking to buy my own VW 1.8t, or if money permits a used A4 turbo. so im looking to install a nitrous system and use it only when necessary cause i know nitrous is killer on an engine(my car is all show no go) any thoughts on pros/cons. it'd only be used occasionally off the line when needed to dust type Rs, Ludes, and 330s. thanks

Default Not worth the risk... either engine will be several thousand to replace...

A tiptronic A4 is not meant to be a drag racer.

Default if you want to take type-r, ludes, and 330...

all you need is manual, fwd, and a chip. i have a fwd tip tho, i waiting to race my friend with his type-r. and exhaust racing cat and exhaust manifolds should be enough for 330s.

if you do get a kit, spend the extra for a progressive injection system...

Do you get some maadd wheel spin on ur FWD also?
I know its a tip, so it might not be as bad or easier to control
i have a manual fwd and through first gear i get lots of wheel spin...
do u know if dropping the car, getting stiffer shocks will prevent some of this?

Default barely, but when the ground is wet. and on turns when i push it on from a stop.

but after you get used to it, its easy to control it.

Why spend money on a 50 shot of N20 which you can only use sparingly, when you can chip your car for 50HP ALL the time. Or go K04 for about 240HP for about 2K.

N20 CAN be very safe, but most people don't know how to use it. There are quite a few people out there that have been using it with no problems, yet there are people who have blown their engines instantly. Just like anything else, you need to build your engine for it, if you want to be truly reliable, or be extremely knowledgeable to diagnose and monitor your car. It doesn't sound like the best option for you.

IMO, go for a chip and exhaust. You'll be at about 210-215HP, and it will be much safer.
