Default I hope so - 5 hour drive just to find out, hope she's 100%.

It will either be a bummed ride home in the TDI Jetta or a really friggin' happy ride by myself in an Allroad.

TDI FTW. Too bad there's no TDI Allroad here.

Default i will be leaving those but painting the flares/lowers and most of the bumpers body color.

Just leaving the "inserts" in both bumpers matt finish. I have seen a couple like this and to me it looks really finished and sharp.

It will be the first thing i do to the car minus the chip.

Default omg! you sir, are the king of deals... if that car is legit (no big problems) i'm impressed

care to hold onto it, build it up, do all appropriate maintenance then sell it off to me =)

Basically do what you did with your avant and rover. It really is providing an amazing service. I respect you a ton for it.

For example; The fact you actually helped out with the RMS

I know a ton of shops/techs/private sellers that would give a big middle finger to that. It's very rare to meet someone of your caliber. So although i've never met you in person. Props dude! you deserve a ton of respect.

Default used car place in NJ has an '05 manual with only 33k miles on it. asking $20k, tho

still, that's a lot of car for the $

or, there are a few with 100k+ miles that are ~$10k or less.<ul><li><a href="http://www.autotrader.com/dealers/dda/index.jsp?dealership_view_name=ramseycorp&amp;addr ess=19103&amp;car_id=259014154&amp;dealer_id=13894 05&amp;mis_search_type=both">http://www.autotrader.com/dealers/dda/index.jsp?dealership_view_na

Default Hard to find one that is clean, black on black and 6mt anywhere near me. I have no time to chase.

This one met all the requirements at a nice easy price.

Will I probably dump $3K in the next 6 months simply on maint and very light mods - probably - but then I will still be into it for pretty short cash and have a sweet car.

I do 100% my own work so the car doesn't scare me maint. wise. Parts are just parts, not really all that different from a A4 to an S4 to an Allroad.

I am happy so far.

Default Aw shucks.... thanks so much. I am a FIRM believer in good karma. :-)

there was no way i could have let Ken down on the RMS thing... he was/is a good guy and I really didn't try and sell him a headache.

I loved that Avant and i still miss it a little.
