Default oil pressure sensor indicator

I've seen a lot of posts regarding this sensor either going bad or being shorted, but I'd like to double check with my problem.

This morning had the yellow oil can warning with the word "sensor" next to it show up. Manual says this translates to a bad sensor. So I drove to work with no ill effects. Also oil temp guage seemed dead. Dealer wants me to tow it to him...but doesn't have an opening for two weeks.

Is this something I can limit my driving, troubleshoot myself and take care of soon? or should I stop driving all together?

-thanks (2001 A4 1.8LT Quatro 58,000)

Default If the sensor is bad, it is fairly easy to replace.

unplug sensor, wrench out with 24mm deep-well socket, plug in new sensor, re-attach sensor wires. All done. Make sure you get the little washer it needs, or put some thread sealant on it, like teflon tape. Otherwise it'll leak.

Here is the sensor, at the back of the oil cooler:

Default i show 06A919081D as the part number (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

for 4 cyl engines. When wrenching it back in, "good and tight" is tight enough. Do not overtighten, because if you strip that, it will cost more than the $10 for that part.

Default B8 Audi 2010 A4

Hallo everyone.
I really need help with something my car has been doing that my mechanic has not been able to sort out.

So here is my problem. My car is showing an orange light for oil level sensor defective.

And here is what's happening. Sometimes, when you turn on the car, the light immediately comes on. The. When you drive it keeps popping on and off and. About 60-70ks, then disappears but then when I increase speed, to about 100-120 it pops up again and then disappears. It's incredibly frustrating to keep hearing that beep.

I recently took a long raid trip hopping it will go away. About 3000ks. But the same results.

What is going on and how can my car get fixed???

We changed the level sensor 3 times thinking that was the cause. But the same problem is happening. At some point, they guys changed the bonnet catcher the light went away then came back on again not sure if that was just a coincidence.

We also tried changing the oil level sensor connector. Still getting the same problem. On the scanner it's saying oil level sensor "A" circuit to ground p019600 and P019700 engine electronics.

Please help me. I just wanna know what's wrong and how to fix it ASAP.
