Default They call it a bell housing because of the shape...

It's the part of the transmission case where the flywheel and clutch live. There are holes on the top for looking at the timing marks.

Default It depends on the set up. Some cars have a seperate casting that mounts between the block and the

transmission. On the A4 the front transmission casting is the bellhousing. It covers the clutch assembly and has the throw out (release bearing in Vagese) assembly and slave cylinder mounted to it.

Default Silly question, but, what on earth are you doing with an 86 4kq?

I had one. Frankly, other than the newer interior, I liked my 84 with the 2.1 better. Something about the 86 I had, just didn't like the car much.. My brother drove the wheels off of it though, I ended up getting an 88 80q instead. I liked the way the earlier cars handled, with the diffs open, they could be driven like a RWD car..

Default Track car? They are VERY slow... The only good thing about them is, they force you to be very smooth

heavy car with 110 hp, not going to win many races.
