Not sure if Worldcom was de-listed or is currently traded...
ask your broker if investing is right for you
IMHO...its a solid bet with fairly limited exposure. I picked up a silly amount of a very important company for a song, and if it rises even to $5 a share...it will be enough for a down on a house. If not, meh, i knew the chances going in.
As i alluded to earlier, Worldcom, unlike a Dell, Microsoft, or any IT related company has substantial physical assets worth several billion, a network which the entire country relies on, and is in a core industry where the government WILL intervene in order to preserve its stability.
Worldcom will re-organize and come back, or sell assets and come back...either way it will be back...but that is nothing more than an educated guess on my part, and you have to be willing to never see the $$ you put into it.
Cheers,
Sameer

Beer.
Or save a little more and get a V1. Trust me here...that thing will pay for itself.
If you want a good budget detector, the Passport 8500 can be had for about $250.
(yes, the V1 is worth the extra $150, but if you don't have the extra $150, it's a moot point)
