Default Ok so I got the car back together..... BUT now we've got a problem a Vacuum problem

now it wont run like normal...

I think I have a vacuum leak or something of that ilk, because right now when I start the car it will start but it cuts off 1 seccond later. Earlier I could start it up and it would rev to like 1700rpm and just stay there while making a buzzing sound. I figured out what the buzzing sound was, one of the vacuum tubes I forgot ot connect..

Right now I am a bit lost, as I'm not that familiar with the vacuum system on this car. So if anybody can help I'd be very grateful. Yea I have the haynes manual, but it covers like zero of the 12v engine.

please help

Default Do you have access to a Bentley manual?

If I had a scanner (on the big list of "to-gets") I would scan the pages... Yea, I'm no help... sorry.

Default I've got it to start and run now..... but it has an irradic idle and the MIL / CEL is on

so something threw a code and I need to replace some of my vacuum lines.

I'm really tired, as I've not slept in like 2 days now. The car is pissing me off.

Is anybody with a Vag Com around, I need to scan the car and see what is making it angry.

I know I need to replace some vacuum lines and I'm pretty sure I am missing one of my lines.

When I leave the car at idle on its own it will eventually stall out, but it can take as long as a min for it to fall from, its normal idle to irradic idle then back to normal then to irradic and eventually stall. It seems like hte car's idle is all screwed up.

I am glad that I didnt **** anything major up, as the car does run, its just not quite happy right now.

Default I had that problem w/ some bad MAF connections ...

I replaced my MAF with a VW part as well as ordered a new MAF connector and re-soldered the lines. My problem was b/c of a faulty connection between the MAF and the connector.

Might be worth a shot to look at your MAF readings and check the voltage.

Default I think I figured it out..... The Idle control valve is fvcked.... I probably got it wet

when cleaning out the aluminum shards or it got a dose of carb cleaner, because I didnt take it off when working on the manifold. So I'm pretty sure the ICV is kaput, or near dead. I unplugged it and the car did the same damn thing, so I guess the ICV and vacuum lines are to blame. The car drives ok, just doesnt Idle for ****, hint hint.. LOL IDLE.

Default Here's the vacuum diagram

Your '95 may vary slightly.

Sorry it's hard to read, but AW keeps shrinking that image. Maybe this diagram helps anyway...
