OK, what's the final word of getting left-side wiper to go closer to pillar?
This is nuts! Mine stops 3 inches from the pillar. It's a 2001 1.8T. The weather's been real bad this winter and I have to lean to the right to see anything, especially going thru corners. I'm taking the car in next week for its first service and I'd love to get some improvement. Thanks in adavnce.

They can't alter the "travel distance", but they can change the area it sweeps, in other words....
It can be changed to get closer to the A-Pillar, but then it rests higher up in the at-rest position.
I had them do this and the rest position doesn't bother me at all. before though, I had this MASSIVE blind spot that was unacceptable.

My dealer altered the rest pos'n when I got my new windshield. Now it is within 1" of the A pillar..
... But I don't like where the wiper rests now... to high. I didn't ask them to do this, the wiper was put back on in the incorrect spot after the new windshield. I thought I'd try it out for a couple of weeks and see if I like it. I think I'll have them put it back one notch or something.
