OK WTF is up with the tire wear on GT3
the best racing tires wear down to the rims after one lap meaning you have to pit pretty much every lap. The ****tiest tires wear out every 4 laps or so (but suck) the computer NEVER has to pit and never suffurs from tire wear (I saw the cars whipping around corners on lap 5, none had pitted and they were all straight as an arrow) this seems like one hell of a major bug (we all know GT1 and 2 were riddled with them)
so what gives? how are you supposed to win a race where you are the only one that MUST pit!?

Your cornering needs to improve....
I've gone 8 laps without having to pit. If I used harder tires, I bet I could go twelve.
If your cornering line isn't smooth (you're screeching the tires a lot), your tires wear down MUCH faster. Just like in real racing. Also, correct tire choice for the car / track is crucial.
It's not a bug. The computer's cars run very clean lines on the tracks. Think of them as really experienced drivers who know the tracks well.
I have pitted and then come back to crush cars that didn't pit, because my tires were fresh. And you do notice the computer's cars starting to lose grip.
On five lap races, you shouldn't have to pit. I always pit once on ten lap races, and once in 15 lap races, and I've won tons of them, even though some cars don't pit.
I hate to say it, but it sounds like you just need to get a bit better at the game. It takes time. GT3 is much tougher than GT2 =)

Actually the 'sport tires' wear down faster than the racing tires
I figured because they have the worst grip they must have the longest durability. Now I can go 5 laps no problem with no pit.
