one more hopeless attempt to get some help on clear corner mod in BOSTON...
nobody replied about this, but i see millions of A4s and S4s everyday in boston, but very few w/ clear corners. can anyone help me w/ this project near boston? the parts stores sure seem hesitant about it, and rightfully so since they don't want to be responsible for mess up situation.
nonetheless, please reply to this if you too are looking to do this mod or can help me out.
all help is appreciated.

Sure....
A bunch of us(Raj,Asst,B-Mike) get together once or twice a month. We actually met last weekend, but I am sure we are meeting up again soon. We have done 2 clear corner mods already, so we have some experience, and equipment. Email me, so I can have your email, and then I will inform you, when we decide to meet again.

Re: one more hopeless attempt to get some help on clear corner mod in BOSTON...
I did it myself and consider myself only moderately handy. In addition to the FAQ (which is very well done), I'd add the following.
When you have the light out of the car (do take out all of the bulbs, etc., and pay attention so you can put it back together and that you keep the two sides [driver/passenger] seperated) the picture showing where to drill looks slightly different than the actual light unit (I think the result of the camera angle). There is a strip of rubber trim around the outside that has sticky stuff on it. I pulled it off and was able to see one of the drilling locations much easier. The strip reattached very easily.
I used a magnetic bit to get the third screw that is down lower. I was most paranoid about dropping it - but didn't on the way in or out.
On drilling the tabs, go slowly, go slowly, go slowly.
When you are moving/cutting the amber lense apart, keep in mind that the lens and the silver reflecting material scratch pretty easily.
Watch the canned air, so that you don't spray it as liquid, tilting the can turns the air into liquid.
It was not at all as bad as it sounds. Remember that if worse comes to worst, you can buy a set of Euro spec (already clear cornered) headlight housings for ~$300 US from a company in Canada.
I'm in AZ, or I'd be glad to help you. Good luck. It looks great when it is done.

I just did that last weekend. Not to terrible. The FAQ helped out and I figured out some tricks. I'm right outside of Boston so if you want to drop me a line or check out my mod feel free.
