Opinions please on Audi service
I am considering having the Audi/Eibach springs put on my 2001 2.8 w/ 18" wheels/tires (Tire Rack)shipped to the service manager (who was cool about holding the tires and plastic bagging the 16" for the ride home) at the first service. I know it's subjective but can I get your opinions on
#1 Eibach/Audi springs? Comments/experience
Can I retain the stock shocks? Should I?
#2 Ride quality- right know it feels like a boat with the non-sport suspension..coming from a 99 Volvo 240HP T5 w/sport susp and 17"s. How tough will this combo be. I want the look and better control and a firmer ride but not a skateboard. Should I consider 17"s to help the ride...love those 18". Will put the 16" w/ snows on for the winter....
#3 Audi Sport CatBack... any good? anyone know?
Any power added.
#4 Can I get a few HP's with the intake and cat-back on a 2.8?
Thanks in advance!

Catback is a muffler only made by Remus.
Intake may not produce noticeable power gains.
I'd recommend shocks at the same time.

I have those...get shocks too

I like the Audi/Eibach springs. The stock shocks on my 1.8T were marginally OK when new with these but soon became unacceptable. I got Neuspeed/Bilsteins within 10k miles.
I think 18" wheels look great with those springs and the ride and handling feels precise and not too harsh. You should keep a wary eye out for road hazards though, the very short sidewall limits how much the tire can absorb.
This is my car with the A/E springs and SSR 18" wheels.
