opinions on shocks wanted
I'm going with H&R sports. The price at Purems is good and I've had them in the past. So shall I go with Koni yellows or Bilstein sports? Had Koni reds before and honestly the shock was too soft. But it's all I could get for Type44 100q.

i've heard bilsteins are better matched with h&r... but both are good, can't really go wrong.
fwiw most people here have the h&r/bilstein combo rather than h&r/koni. i, myself, have the h&r/bils.

Koni's have adjustable rebound damping...
H&R and Bilstein's are a matched spring/shock combo but if you think they are too soft you can't do too much to change it.
The Koni's are adjustable. IIRC, the only downside is that you have to take them off to adjust them.
I run the H&R / Bilstein sport combo and am pleased with the outcome but sometimes wish i could adjust the dampening settings. My next set will definitely be adjustable. Just something to consider if you are picky like me.

If I was going to adjustable I would probably go
coilovers. But that's coin so the springs/shocks are a good, affordable way to upgrade the handling and close fender gap. Probably good enough for now.

You asked for an opinion!
I had the H&R Sport/Bilstein combo on my A4 for about 2 1/2 years, and I feel those springs (for the B5 A4 mind you,) are junk. They are too low, and too soft. During the time they were on the car, I had to do warranty replacements on 5 of the 4 shocks - yes, one of them more than once. After seeing the obliterated bump-stops on the rear, I don't think it was the shock's fault. Currently, I'm still running the Bilstein shocks, but with the OEM sport springs, and I like this combo. I think I've got another blown Bilstein, but this could be residual blown-outedness leftover from the dark H&R days.
So I guess if you're really committed to the H&R springs, then I'd suggest running Koni shocks. I'm pretty confident of my conclusion about the H&R/Bilstein combo. Like I said, you asked for an opinion!
Love the Allroad in your sig pic, by the way..
