Well, after doing tons of research I've decided to take the big plunge and become a 2000 A4 owner. This site has been a tremendous help in my decision and I can't wait to get my car!

I've placed my order with my dealer here in Cincinnati (becasue they didn't have the color or options I wanted in stock) and he is telling me it will take about 4 months for it to come in. Which is depressing to say at the least.

My BIG question is - Has anyone else expiereinced this amount of wait? How long has it taken on average to get a 2000 A4 built from Audi?

Is 4-months typical or is he just being cautious? The order was placed Jan 22, 2000.

Does anyone know of a way to check the order status on-line?

4-5 month wait is normal. Very high demand for the A4 (nt)
