Default I doubt. The bearing is what support the wheel position.

Our Audi had no camber adjustment which is suck.

Default just crawled alittle under on my lunch break and saw the driver side cv boot is ripped..

and it looked like oil was either leaking out some or had leaked out in the past..
so i guess i need atleast a new boot for both sides nd probly a new joint for the driver side.. Anyway to tell if the joint is bad before removing the parts?
Thanks ..
Oh and HOw much for a CV joint... i read that oem ones are about 300 and some after market ones about 90 or so is this still the rates? any thoughts on oem or aftermarket?/

Default Any estimate how long had it had been rip? My is about a month before I replaced it ....

and the joint seem to be great. They are not that easy damage unless you have lot of sand in there. Just replace the boots, $21 for the kit. Very easy.

Default Also, if you just replace the boots...

make sure to clean and regrease the cv joint very well before putting the boot back on. I believe there's a tech article on it.

Only way I know of to tell if the joint is really bad is if it ticks/clunks when turning. SO give that a try, and if it's silent, just replace the boot and you *should* be good
