OVER-BOOST error code???

I posted about a 9 days ago, that my 1.8T did not have any boost at all, actually it had about 4 psi max.

I finnaly plugged a VAG (the home/pc option) and found an over-boost error code. I should have copied the code, but coming from a surgery, the reason for the long delay, I didn't think clearly and just cleared the code.

I tested the car briefly, and could reach more than 10 psi, I couldn't do more since I didn't go to a decent road (my doctor would kill me if he had seen me driving).

Questions to the experts:

1. Could this error code prevent the boost? (I couldn't find anything in the Bentley)

2. Could be a possible bug on the GIAC chip (I have one of the first MY2000 versions)?

3. Does anybody knows this code, so I can pass it to GIAC?

4. Any other thoughts???

You prob have a boost leak or a bad freq valve. With a boost leak on a 00 car you will get teh over boost code as the ECU just keeps spinning the turbo to death trying to make the boost..

I would upgrade your code anyways.. We are on Po9 now.. You prob have 6
