Default Paging "Modified A4" or anyone with auxillary fan relay/switches experience.

Thank you in Advance.
I have a 2001 A4 Tiptronic, No engine mods.
The car tends to overheat sitting in traffic. The dash coolant temp needle, Intead of staying dead center, it tends to creep up slightly past half point. and the auxillary fan does not come on.
interesting part is that the coolant temp "Code 51" from the climate control unit does not go beyond 90 celcius even if the dash goes past midpoint and Electric fan does not not turn on.
Has anyone seen "code 51" Coolant temp in celcius, indicating past 90 degree celcius on the display?
The Fan DOES come on with A/C on.

I have changed the coolant temp sensor and the auxillary fan switch in the lower radiator hose till now with no luck.

Default if its overheating with no a/c...then either the mechanical fan clutch is shot

or your water pump/thermostat is shot.

It sounds like the electrical fan is coming on with AC, but not when the car's running warm.

Default the car shouldnt be overheating. the fact that the electric fan isnt coming on...

is another problem entirely, which will not fix the overheating problem.

The mechanical clutch seems to work fine when I look at it. Also the thermostat has been changed recently during T.B change.
The issue is that the "Electric Fan" never comes on when the car gets hot. It comes on only with A/C on.
Can it be due to the high speed relay? Or is there a separate fuse for the high speed?

Default I would like to know ambient temps and how far past "High Twelve" the needle goes?

Is it a mm or two, or is it over by 3/4 or higher??

Default Ambient Temp around 90 Fahrenheit, Only --

Sitting in traffic.
Mountain climbing even at 75 degree Fahrenheit.
The Needle goes past 12:00 but only very slightly. So you clearly see its not on 12:00.
I think it may go even further, but by then I correct it by turning on the A/C.
If you turn the car off for 10 minutes and turn the switch back on, it actually can show as high as the next notch for a short while till the water circulates.
Temp Tends to Normalize if A/C is turned on, which actually turns on the Aux fan.
I think I have also noticed that if you just keep gas the gas in neutral without the A/C on that stabilized the temp too.
As I said the aux fan does not come on in 95 Fahrenheit sitting in traffic.
