Default I wouldn't say that Ed, I just don't want to be a tech anymore

Been trying for 2 years to get out of this job with nothing to show for it, they won't let me do anything else.

Default Yeah, I'm still here.

Eating my Taylor Ham sandwich and checking AW, the usual morning routine. Then back to work on this A6 2.7T that hopefully gets both front outer CV boots sold.

Default If you are productive as a tech, forget about moving up at the same dealership.

The only way to advance is to leave. BTDT.

Default Yeah Tom, I know.

Seems that the problem is if I try to go somewhere else, they'll look at my resume, even if I'm applying for a parts counter or service advisor job, and then say "Well, we could use another tech...."

I'm pretty sure I could do any job I wanted to at a dealership, I just need a shot at it to prove myself. So many ideas for new business that I can't execute in my current position.

Right now I'm seriously considering looking for a job with a tuner, considering what I do in my spare time....you know what that is.
