parking brake light switch
I think i found out why my brake light is on. The parking brake light switch was just laying on the capet under the console. anyone have a close up picture of how the switch mounts to the lever or to the floor or whereever because I cant see how it works.

Skip step 1, as b5's are different switches
step 2 shows the position, you will need to remove the lower dash.

That's a nice write up. But I'm looking under the center console at the back of the PARKING BRAKE HANDLE. I have the wires that run down along the driver side of the parking brake handle, then the switch is just laying there. It needs to be mounted in some way so when you pull the handle up you open the circuit and the switch works and the dash light comes on. I'm thinking there is supposed to be a braket, screw, clip or some type of thing to hold the switch in place.
