Performance of A4 2.8?

I'm 16 and my dad is considering buying an A4 2.8. It's a 2001 model with quattro and tiptronic (oh well). The 0-60 time is 8.8 seconds in the brochure, same as the Honda Accord that I drive... it seems like an Audi V6 could beat a Honda Four. What I'm wondering is, is the Audi faster than the numbers seem to indicate? Does it have plenty of power for "brisk" driving?

Might be better, but not much.

The audi is much heavier than the honda. Stock 2.8 manual is 7.1 0-60.

You're 16, you shouldn't be racing Hondas. Be glad Dad can afford a safe car

The 2.8 will have enough HP to put a smile on your face.

Especially in the corners where Quattro really shines.

and btw, from everything I've seen and heard, the A4 (1.8T and 2.8) sounds like a great car. Does anyone have the European "Engine Package"? Apparently, in Europe, you can buy a 1.8T with 205 horsepower. Almost makes me wish I was German.

At any rate, the A4 is about the best car I could realistically hope for
